"So, if a member of our team becomes terminally ill it’s vitally important that we provide them with the best possible care and support. “When a person is going through such a difficult time, they really shouldn’t need to worry about their work and by signing the charter Newcastle hospitals is committing to ensuring no member of staff will have to do that.”

Gower College Swansea

Thank you to Gower College Swansea who signed the charter on 22nd November 2019 providing protection for their 950 employees.

Principal, Mark Jones, said:
“Gower College Swansea takes the wellbeing of its staff extremely seriously and signing up to the Dying to Work campaign is the latest in a range of initiatives that we are engaged in to support staff. Thank you to New College Durham who signed the charter on 18th November 2019 providing protection for their 550 employees.

Thank you to Cotswold District Council who signed the charter on 14th November 2019 providing protection for their 19 employees.

Leader of the Council, Joe Harris, said:
“When I read about the Dying to Work campaign I was both touched and saddened at the treatment of some workers by unscrupulous employers. I am determined this should never be allowed to happen at the Council and I am happy to sign the Charter to ensure no-one is ever treated in this way. "Having to face news of a terminal illness is a hugely distressing situation for anyone and we need to offer as much support and advice in the workplace as possible which is why we wholeheartedly support this campaign.”

West Oxfordshire District Council

Thank you to West Oxfordshire District Council who signed the charter on 14th November 2019 providing protection for their 6 employees.

Leader of West Oxfordshire District Council, James Mills, said:
“I cannot imagine the distress and turmoil caused by being diagnosed with a terminal illness. This Charter ensures that employers are committed to helping staff and their families in whatever way is most appropriate, not least by protecting their employment and removing the worry of losing their financial security. Signing up to it seemed an obvious step and we fully support the campaign.”

Thank you to Publica Group (Support) Ltd who signed the charter on 14th November 2019 providing protection for their 650 employees.
