I am writing to bring your attention to an important campaign that is running to ensure people with terminal illness are treated fairly at work.
The Dying to Work campaign is focusing on three areas:
To get terminally-ill workers covered by Protective Rights at Work in line with those covered by pregnancy/maternity rights.
To protect death in service benefits.
To allow workers with terminal illness to die in dignity.
Readers may know the Equality Act provides protections against discriminatory treatment based on the concept of protected characteristics.
