Pauline Latham MP asks for debate on the Dying to Work campiagn in Parliament: 17 March

Pauline Latham MP, asked the following question to the Leader of the Commons, Chris Grayling MP on March 17th during Business Questions:

Pauline Latham (Mid Derbyshire) (Con): May we have a debate on the TUC’s “Dying to Work” campaign, which focuses on strengthening legal protections for terminally ill employees such as my constituent Jacci Woodcock, who has been treated extremely badly by her employer, which tried to force her to resign?

The Leader of the House of Commons (Chris Grayling): My hon. Friend raised this issue yesterday and it is clearly a matter of great concern to her. She is absolutely right to bring forward a case such as this. I would hope that every employer would treat with respect and care anybody in such a terrible situation, whether in the public sector or the private sector. What we expect from our employers in this country is decency.
